Beverley began her insurance career in 1972 at the insurance company level and jumped to the broker sector in 1976.
She has worked in all sectors of the insurance brokerage industry spending most of her career with large international brokers. She has experience in Personal Lines, Small and Large Commercial P&C business, International Risk Management accounts, Program business, Aviation and Ocean Marine. Her activities included sales and service, marketing, She also has experience in Agency Accounting. Most recently held the Canadian Compliance officer role at a large brokerage and did corporate work as well. Handled insurer and MGA contracts, business and trade name registrations and maintenance, Broker licensing, business analyst for IT BMS system implementation (EPIC), Development of Workflow guidelines and practices, Market Security. Specialist in Unlicensed tax filings for clients and set up a Canadian tax database for Canadian employees. Lloyds of London liaison – AIF system in Canada.
Have been licensed in all Canadian provinces and held “special brokers” licenses in Alberta and Manitoba. She also currently holds a California license as well. She has also been a network country manager (Canada) for a large international brokerage to coordinate cross border accounts coming into Canada. Overall a very diverse range of experience in the brokerage industry.
Have also prepared and taught continuing education classes for brokers and provided seminars to foreign brokers on doing business in Canada.
